I was first introduced to essential oils in Bloomington, Indiana in 1997 through a great little co-op that I frequented. I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease a few years prior, and was tired of the solutions offered by western medicine. I was taking lots of meds without any true relief…I consistently felt ill…and turned to acupuncture and natural holistic solutions. My acupuncturist introduced me to Chinese oils and I began my journey through the world of alternative medicine. I have tried several brands with off and on success. I was searching for something that was more consistent and backed by research.

Fast forward to 2011 and an encounter with Deonne and Christie (dōTERRA Independent Product Consultants). They came to visit with me one September afternoon. Christie is a doula who is talented in working with essential oils. She has lots of knowledge at her fingertips and so we discussed my Crohns.
